Art To Change Paradigms

Please join me this summer and reserve your spot before March 15, 2022 for a two-day catered master class in ecoart in my seaside Studio on Vinalhaven.  Cost, dates, and location: $650, Thursday July 21 and Friday July 22, Vinalhaven, Maine. Your reservation will cover 2 delicious catered lunches, one each day of the workshop and include a sketchbook and graphite pencil to take notes and sketch your ideas. Children under seventeen accompanied by a registered adult are free and welcome. Late reservation fees will be $750. Scholarship possibilities based on need and portfolio. 

What we will cover

Day 1: Overview of history, major figures and ideas in ecoart, referencing the text of “Ecoart in Action” which I co-edited with 67 contributors for educators and practitioners; lunch; a mindful walk in the restored gardens of the Ghost Nets project; drawing and discussion in a relaxed atmosphere.

Day 2: Charette style workshop discussing and experimenting with ecoart design approaches to environmental problems based on my book, “Divining Chaos”; lunch; guided independent experiments in applying ecoart principles individually and in teams.

Practical information

Lodging is recommended at the Tidewater Motel with reservations suggested to be confirmed no later than June 1, 2022. Transportation to and from my studio available by taxi or with your own car if you reserve a ferry place 1 month in advance.
